Grow Into Your Destiny

“Exactly how long is it gonna take?” “When will my dream finally come to fruition?” “Why hasn’t it happened yet?” “How did I get so far off course?” These are all very valid questions that we have all asked at some point in life. If we’re being honest, we just don’t like to wait. It’s human to want what we want when, where, and how we want it…period! However, what happens when that thing we want so badly gets delayed? Oftentimes we fall into emotional disarray and despair. We want to blame others for our perceived misfortune. We may even experience some level of depression. Been there…done that!

The goal here is to realize that we live in a world that is deeply flawed. Sin, selfishness, disobedience, greed all play a role in our collective existence on a daily basis. We cannot control the thoughts and actions of others so we have to develop a mindset that allows us to thrive “in spite of”. Sure, this is easier said than done. I truly get it. I’ve spent half of my adult life battling depression on varying levels due to not understanding the concept of “in spite of”. I still deal with imposter syndrome from time to time (more on that in another post). But what I want you to know today is that God is always in control. He knows what you can and cannot handle and He knows exactly how to make you grow into your destiny.

Whatever your challenges are, they are preparing you for your come up. Stand in your strength, conquer those obstacles and know that you have been purposed for so much more!
